What is translation ?
There are many theories that rose since the last decades about the importance of translation as a discipline that needs to be taken seriously , and analyzed in depth regarding the different theories concerning it.
There is no well known or exact definition of translation because each expert defines it the way he finds it appropriate. For exemple, Hassan Ghazala states that “translation generally refers to all the processes and methods used to render and/or transfer the meaning of the source language text into the target language as closely,completely, and accurately as possible” 1 , Peter Newmark on the other hand defnies translation as“rendering the meaning of a text into another language in the way that the author intended the text” 2 .
